The first signs of Spring are there to be glimpsed. Just as well, as everything feels washed out with all the rain we have experienced.
The daffodils are breaking through the soil, their pale green pointing to the skies.
The lambs tails are beginning to appear on the hazels.
Snowdrops in sheltered places have the snowy white of their flower heads nodding on a breeze but not yet in their full open splendour.
My witch hazels, are flowering, one with bright yellow flowers and a hint of perfume and one is showing dark orange flowers but unfortunately has no scent.
My Mahonia, by the front door is flowering for the first time. Bright yellow flower spikes adorn the top of it.
Hints of the beauty that will abound in a few short weeks.
