I have seen my first Swallows and Housemartins of Spring 2023.
Walking Dillie on Halford Meadow this morning (9th April) I saw my first Swallow fly up in front of us. It was only one and it did not fly back my way.
As Dillie and I started walking down by the River Onny I became aware of different birds flying and swooping.
I stopped for a closer look, and there were Swallows and Housemartins swooping overhead.
I didn’t notice any yesterday or on long walks earlier in the week, so these must be the first Swallows and Housemartins around Craven Arms in 2023.
