Autumn is Arriving in Shropshire. We have had a mild Autumn so we are only just seeing the leaves changing colour.
The witch hazels and field maples are a vibrant yellow. The Japanese Maples are not at their best yet.
Leaves are falling and there are small drifts of leaves, some of which end up in the kitchen.
The woodlands on the hills are just beginning to show up individual trees.
We have rain today which is great for the onions I put in a few days ago.
I love Autumn, I was an Autumn baby, the colours of the changing leaves and when they are dry, kicking through the drifts of fallen leaves.
The photograph in the header of this blog post was taken from the hill above Cheney Longville looking south. If you look closely at the skyline you can see Flounders’ Folly and also Clee Hill.
