Here are some interesting festivals and events happening in Bishops Castle through the coming year. They love to organise a procession.
Bishops Castle Walking Festival is on from 15th until 19th May 2019. This is the 21st annual Walking Festival.
Bishops Castle Summer Rejoicing is on 23rd June 2019. Starts with a service at St John’s Parish Church followed by a Rush Cart Parade with Morris Teams and Dancing, ending up at the Three Tuns Yard.
Bishops Castle Carnival is in 7th July 2019 from noon. There will be a parade of steam engines, vintage cars and floats around town, followed by fun, games and music on Bishops Castle Playing Fields.
Bishops Castle Party in the Park on Saturday 20th July 2019 starting at noon until late. One day music event, show casing local talent in a relaxed atmosphere with food beer and other entertainment.
Michaelmas Fair is on 21st September 2019 from noon. There is a procession of of steam engines and vintage vehicles and lantern parade in the evening. There will street performances, stalls, work shops and live music.
Bishops Castle Christmas Cracker is on Saturday 7th December 2019. There will be late night shopping, more processions, music, a Santa’s Grotto and fireworks.
I have to say Bishops Castle is Buzzing.
