The annual Shrewsbury Winter Festival 2017 will be held at Shrewsbury Quarry Park on:
- Saturday 9th December 2017 – 10:00 to 18:00
- Sunday 10th December 2017 – 10:00 to 17:00
and promises two days of festive fun for all the family.
The Shrewsbury Winter Festival is an annual celebration of local food and drink, and local crafts with a festive theme combined with family entertainment that was enjoyed by more than 12,000 people in 2016.
Festive Food and Seasonal Gifts
Over 170 local producers will be offering a massive selection of artisan foods and drinks to enjoy including:
- mince pies
- free range meats
- steaming hot chocolate
- mulled wine
- beer
Entertainment
The Winter Festival offers a range of attractions and activities including:
- circus skills
- singalongs
- animals – lambs, donkeys and alpacas
- gingerbread decorating
- Santa
Festive Ale Trail
A new attraction for this years’ Winter Festival is the Hobson’s Festive Ale Trail where over-18s can visit some real ale stands around the Winter Festival and sample beers from some of the best local brewers in the region.
Giant Snowglobe
If you’ve ever wanted to walk in your own Winter Wonderland then the Winter Festival offers you the chance to wander into this giant snowglobe and help a local charity at the same time.
