Shrewsbury Folk Festival has established itself on the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Four days of live music, dancing, workshops, drinking, eating and catching up with old friends.
There is lots to do on site and in Shrewsbury Town as well with dance displays in the Town Square and music events in some of the local pubs.
Go and enjoy old favourites and discover new bands to dance to, sing along to or relax and chat. Chris Difford from Squeeze is performing, The Unthanks, the Oysterband, Seth Lakeman, Skippinnish and Steve Knightley is a small example of those there to entertain you.
There is plenty of entertainment and workshops for children and teenagers to do. And for the adults too.
Lots of bars and food stalls with an under cover eating area.
The village area has a craft area with stalls selling all sorts of gifts, books etc. There is a small stage where most of the display dances teams perform their stuff and there are bands as well.
There are lots of workshops for those who want to hone their skills on musical instruments. There are singing workshops and dancing workshops as well. And those dedicated exercisers there is an early morning yoga session (bit cold for me).
I may see you there.
