The twelfth annual Bridgnorth Music and Arts Festival runs from Friday 18th August 2017 until bank holiday Monday 28th August across a range of venues in Bridgnorth.
The history of this event is interesting and shares in the evolution of the Shrewsbury Folk Festival. The Bridgnorth Folk Festival was held for many years on the Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend until it grew so large that in 2006 it moved to Shrewsbury.
The resulting void was filled with a music festival in Bridgnorth on the bank holiday Monday which grew and became an arts festival in 2010. The festival features a variety of music acts and events, art exhibitions and workshops.
The ongoing evolution of the festival sees a range of new events this year including film, comedy, fine arts, and photography.
