There are many Christmas events held throughout Shropshire – and here are just a few that might be of interest to you.
Much Wenlock Christmas Fayre
The annual Much Wenlock Christmas Fayre takes place this year on Saturday 3rd December from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm in the Church Green and High Street.
The Fayre features over 100 stalls along with Brass Bands, Choirs, Street Theatre & Entertainers, Santa Claus, Donkey Rides, Children’s Entertainment and Carols by Candlelight.
Carillon – Seasonal Songs
Saturday 3rd December also offers Carillon – Seasonal Songs with a Choir of Ladies’ Voices organised by St Michaels and All Angels Church, Onibury.
This event starts at 7:30 pm in the Great Hall at Stokesay Court, Onibury, Craven Arms, SY7 9BD and costs £12 including a glass of wine or soft drink on arrival and canapés and mince pies in the interval.
Shrewsbury Winter Festival
The annual Shrewsbury Winter Festival takes place on Saturday 10th December and Sunday 11th December 2016 at Quarry Park, Shrewsbury.
The festival offers festive fun and games, live music and carol singing and over 150 local artisan food, drink and craft exhibitors will inspire you with unique gift ideas.
Admission is £6 for adults and £1 for children.
Cruelty Free Christmas Fair
Shropshire Veggies and Vegans are holding their fourth annual Cruelty Free Christmas Fair on the 10th December from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
A range of stalls offer Christmas gifts, food and book along with charity stalls and a cafe area. The event is held at the Wightman in Shrewsbury – 4 The Square, Shrewsbury, SY1 1LA.
Early attendees will receive a goody bag full of samples, recipes and money off vouchers and a magazine. In previous years the bags have contained a great selection of samples including chocolate, pasta, tea, seeds, snacks and plant milk.
